The Altar Guild exists to serve:

by - making sure that the place of worship is maintained and set up for the times and seasons  of the church year.

by - seeing to it that the paraments and linens are put out, cleaned, and stored appropriately.

by - making certain that all the preparations are made for each service and that whatever needs to be done after the service is taken care of.

All this, not for themselves, but for the glory of God and the building up of His people.

"Older Wiser Lutheran Seniors"

Older Wiser Lutheran SeniorsUpcoming Events!

OWLS will head for the Caribbean when we meet on Thursday, February 16th.

Our travels will take us to Costa Rica, a veritable paradise for countless animal & plant species as we discover the contrast between the Atlantic & Pacific Coasts of this country.

Then we head to the Bahamas where their shallow waters are fed by warm currents of the Gulf Stream, providing a crystal-clear sea teeming with life.

Last, we'll go to Belize, a wild & impenetrable land that is sparsely populated. But in its waters lies the Blue Hole, one of the largest marine holes in the world, hundred of feet wide & deep.

Join us at noon in Agape Hall for a "bring your own" lunch and fellowship time. Coffee & dessert are provided. Then we can enjoy the video presentation. Everyone enjoyed Jack Cornell's Alaska program last month and we hope more of you will come in February - and bring a friend.

What is OWLS?

If you are new to Faith, you might be wondering what that group with the clever logo is all about.  OWLS stands for Older Wiser Lutheran Seniors and is the name adopted by our fellowship group.  Any senior can join us - even younger folks who are home during the day are welcome!

What do we do?

We gather at 12:00 noon on the third Thursday of the month for lunch and a video presentation - maybe travelog, humor, etc.  Occasionally an outing is planned where we carpool to a place of interest.

What is our purpose?

We develop friendships among our fellow Christian brothers and sisters while providing interesting activities.

How does it work?

You bring your own lunch and we provide coffee and dessert.  Sharing a meal leads to friendships and much laughter.  Then the video presentation lasts about an hour.  By 2:00pm you're on your way home.
