- October 6th - LWML Sunday!
The first Sunday of October is traditionally set aside as LWML Sunday, where we celebrate LWML and bring awareness of what this group does! LWML members are encouraged to wear purple on this day to show their support of LWML.
Also, we will be collecting a special door offering for mites! What are mites?

What is LWML?
LWML stands for the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and is the official women's auxiliary of the The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS).
The LWML seeks to develop and maintain a greater mission consciousness among women of the LCMS through education, inspiration, and service.
A major emphasis is the support of mission and ministry throughout the world by means of mite box offerings. These mite box offerings have funded tens of millions of dollars in mission grants since the organization's inception in 1942.
Our local LWML meets monthly for a dinner meeting on the third Monday of each month, September - June. We take turns opening our homes to these gatherings.
We sponsor our Annual Women's Tea in the spring and our annual "Make It, Bake It, Sew It, Grow It" event in the fall.
Each year we have found a focus for our support. In years past we have helped a local women's shelter for pregnant woment, "Toby's House". We have also given funds to many Lutheran Mission groups (Lutheran Braille Workers, The Lutheran Hour, Lutheran Bible Translators). We have purchased linens for the altar, paraments, albs.
This year our focus of fund-raising is to help suport The League of Faithful Masks, UCLA Chapel, Faith Lutheran - Saddleback Valley.
We collect loose change in our mite boxes and used stamps for our District Cross Cultural Mission Grants.
There are no dues, no membership cards, only your desire to participate in our activities.
