As true and sound expositions of the Word of God, this Congregation acknowledges and accepts the symbolic books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as contained in the Book of Concord of 1580: The Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, the unaltered Augsburg Confession and its Apology, the Smalcald Articles, The treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope, Luther's Large and Small Catechisms, and the Formula of Concord.
