The prophet Isaiah receives a glorious vision of what the worship of heaven is like. The angels of heaven sing endlessly at the feet of God in reverence and awe, “Holy! Holy! Holy is the LORD God of hosts!” Like the prophet Isaiah we need to recognize that we are a people of unclean lips before our Holy Lord. Yet Christ takes bread from his altar and cleanses our lips. He takes wine from the altar and makes us holy like he is holy.
