God is the same God yesterday, today, and tomorrow and in Pentecost we celebrate the continued promise of renewal and salvation. In Ezekiel, God breathed life into dry bones. On Pentecost God breathed His life-giving Word into his Apostles and today we receive that same Word of salvation. Though we are dying, we are coming closer to true life.
